After fainting on the set in 1989, Halle Berry was diagnosed with diabetes. Her diagnosis led her to a healthier lifestyle, resorting to a low-carb, high-fat keto diet.

Since being diagnosed with insulin-dependent diabetes, Halle Berry has been determined not to let her disease affect her lifestyle.

She has always been vocal about her keto diet and how it has helped her wean off her medications.

Although her statements on diabetes have caused a stir, she continues to show her fans that diabetes is manageable.

Halle Berry is said to be involved with the Juvenile Diabetes Association in the United States as a volunteer.

Nick Jonas was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when he was 13 years old. During one of his concerts with his brothers, he ended up in a hospital.

His blood sugar level shot up to 900. The normal range is between 70 and 120.

His symptoms included extreme thirst and weight loss. Fortunately, he got the care that he needed and was up and about after a few days.

He has since teamed with the Global Movement for Time in Range. This is an organization with a mission to promote the use of time in range as an essential indicator in the management of diabetes.
